1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the Webscribe by BobNinja Chrome extension ("Webscribe," "the extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use Webscribe.

These Terms are supplemented by our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of Webscribe after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms. Effective date: January 25, 2026.

2. Description of Service

Webscribe is a Chrome browser extension that:

Saves web page content as clean markdown or plain text
Stores all saved content locally in your browser
Allows you to search, organise, and export saved content
Operates entirely within your browser with no external servers

Webscribe is provided free of charge for personal use.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Complying with all applicable laws when saving and using web content
Respecting the copyright and intellectual property rights of content you save
Ensuring you have the right to save content from the websites you access
The security of your own device and browser

You agree NOT to:

Use Webscribe for any illegal purpose
Violate the terms of service of websites when saving their content
Redistribute saved content in ways that violate copyright law
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify Webscribe
Use Webscribe for commercial data collection without appropriate rights

4. Lawful Use Only

IMPORTANT: WEBSCRIBE IS PROVIDED FOR PERSONAL, LAWFUL USE ONLY.

Saving content from websites may be subject to legal restrictions depending on your jurisdiction, the website's terms of service, and the nature of the content. It is your sole responsibility to:

Understand and comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
Review and comply with the terms of service of any website you access
Obtain any necessary permissions before saving copyrighted content
Use saved content only in lawful ways

Cloudless Consulting Pty Ltd (trading as BobNinja), its directors, employees, and affiliates:

Do NOT encourage, endorse, or condone any illegal use of this extension
Are NOT responsible for how you choose to use this extension
Are NOT liable for any legal consequences arising from your use of this extension
Cannot monitor, control, or prevent your use of this extension

By using Webscribe, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for ensuring your use is lawful and that the creators and distributors of this extension bear no responsibility for your actions.

5. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cloudless Consulting Pty Ltd (trading as BobNinja), its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including but not limited to legal fees) arising from:

Your use or misuse of Webscribe
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
Any content you save, store, or distribute using Webscribe
Any claim that your use of Webscribe caused damage to a third party

This indemnification obligation shall survive the termination of these Terms and your use of Webscribe.

6. Intellectual Property

The Webscribe extension, including its code, design, and documentation, is owned by Cloudless Consulting Pty Ltd (trading as BobNinja). You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Webscribe for personal purposes.

Content you save using Webscribe belongs to the original content owners. Webscribe does not claim any ownership of content you save. You are responsible for respecting the intellectual property rights of content owners.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

WEBSCRIBE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
NON-INFRINGEMENT
UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION

Cloudless Consulting Pty Ltd does not warrant that:

Content will be saved accurately or completely
All websites will be compatible with Webscribe
Webscribe will meet your specific requirements
Webscribe will be compatible with all browser versions

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLOUDLESS CONSULTING PTY LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of data (you are responsible for backing up your saved content)
Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
Damages arising from your use or inability to use Webscribe

Because Webscribe is provided free of charge, Cloudless Consulting Pty Ltd's maximum aggregate liability shall not exceed $0.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of Webscribe is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Key points:

All data is stored locally on your device
Cloudless Consulting Pty Ltd has no access to your saved content
No data is transmitted to external servers

You are responsible for managing and backing up your locally stored data.

10. Third-Party Websites

When you use Webscribe, you interact with third-party websites to save their content. Cloudless Consulting Pty Ltd:

Is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party websites
Does not endorse any third-party content you save
Is not a party to any terms of service between you and third-party websites

You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of any website you access using Webscribe.

11. Modifications to the Extension

Cloudless Consulting Pty Ltd reserves the right to:

Update or modify Webscribe at any time
Discontinue Webscribe with or without notice

Updates may be delivered automatically through the Chrome Web Store. Cloudless Consulting Pty Ltd is not obligated to provide support, maintenance, or updates indefinitely. We will attempt to communicate significant changes when possible.

12. Termination

Your right to terminate: You may stop using Webscribe and uninstall it at any time.

Our right to terminate: Cloudless Consulting Pty Ltd may discontinue Webscribe at any time.

Upon termination, sections relating to Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law shall survive.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Webscribe shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, Australia.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cloudless Consulting Pty Ltd regarding Webscribe. These Terms supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

No waiver of any term shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of that term or any other term. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by Cloudless Consulting Pty Ltd.
